What is FIRE?
Popularized in America, Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) is a movement of people living frugally to aggressively save, invest and retire before 65 by living off their investment returns.
Who is Pinay FIRE?
Pinay FIRE is my pseudonym, but to give a bit more about me, I’m a Filipina in tech nearing my 30s.
Why Pinay FIRE?
As a previous Iskolar ng Bayan, I knew someday I would have to, “serve the people”.
So I’m financing this blog myself and have no intentions of earning off it (unless an opportunity permits).
In my almost 3-year journey I’ve read all the angles of FIRE mostly in the words of Americans. Through research, and self-study, I want to share what I found to work best in a Philippine setting, and bring you along the reality of retiring early in the Philippines.
